Program Highlights

In Debate Camp: Exploring Philosophy and the Art of Argumentation, we will dive into the exciting world of debate and philosophy. This camp introduces young thinkers to the art of forming strong arguments, discussing ethics, and exploring philosophical ideas in a way that’s both developmentally appropriate and fun. Through lively discussions, campers will learn the skills to express their thoughts clearly, listen actively and respect diverse perspectives.

Our camp combines creative games, playful role-playing activities, and interactive exercises to make learning about debate and philosophy dynamic and enjoyable. Campers will build confidence, critical thinking skills and teamwork as they delve into thought-provoking topics, all while having fun and making new friends.

Camp Staff: Matt Rupert

Matthew Rupert is a philosophy professor who believes big ideas should be fun, practical and open to everyone. With years of teaching experience and a deep love for storytelling, he blends philosophy with games like Dungeons & Dragons to make thinking about ethics, logic and big questions an adventure. Whether debating moral dilemmas or rolling dice to decide a hero’s fate, he’s here to make learning both meaningful and exciting.
