Program Highlights
Welcome to Singing, Recorders and Ukes, Oh My!, a fun-filled weeklong summer music camp where campers will explore the world of music through the ukulele, the recorder and their voices! This camp is perfect for students ages 8-9 who love to sing, make music and try out new instruments.
Throughout the week, campers will:
- Learn Ukulele: Discover the basics of this small but mighty instrument! You'll practice easy chords and strumming patterns, and even play a few songs with your friends. The ukulele is a fun instrument that sounds awesome and is easy to learn!
- Rock the Recorder: Whether you're brand new to the recorder or you've played before, you'll learn how to play beautiful melodies and rhythms. We’ll start with simple tunes and build up to fun group songs, making music together!
- Sing Your Heart Out: Get ready to sing your favorite songs in harmony with your fellow campers! You'll learn new songs, practice vocal techniques, and even perform in a mini concert at the end of camp!
- By the end of camp, you'll have learned how to play a new instrument, improved your singing skills, and made awesome memories with new friends through the joy of music. Whether you're a beginner or already a little musical pro, there's something for everyone in this musical adventure!
